What is ASDF.Design?
Hi. I’m Paul. I’ve been building websites, sketching ideas, and shipping digital products since the days of dial-up and Geocities. ASDF.Design is my personal development studio: equal parts digital workshop and creative sandbox.
After years of working with clients ranging from DIYers to national brands, I started ASDF.Design to cut through the noise and do things differently. No bloated builds. No agency BS. Just fast, functional, well-crafted web experiences that work the way they should.
---
What I Do
At ASDF.Design, I build:
- Custom Websites using Webflow, Shopify, or full-stack tech like Next.js + Supabase
- Digital Products & Tools that help small businesses punch above their weight
- Creative Experiments in CSS, 3D, animation, and code, because sometimes, weird is good
My background is equal parts visual design and frontend dev, so everything I make has a tight feedback loop between form and function.
---
Why ASDF?
I wanted a name that didn’t take itself too seriously, just like me.
You’ve probably typed “asdf” into a form field when you were in a hurry. That’s kind of the point.
This isn’t some anonymous, buttoned-up design agency. This is a real human (hi again) building things with intention, clarity, and just enough personality to make it interesting.

Why Duluth?
After years of remote work and bouncing between cities, I chose Duluth as home base for ASDF.Design. There's something special about the Twin Ports creative community - independent businesses, artists, and makers who care about doing things right.
I love working with local businesses that want to compete beyond our market while staying true to what makes them unique. Whether that's helping Duluth.Art connect local artists or building tools for regional businesses, there's real satisfaction in supporting the community you live in.

What You'll Find Here
This blog focuses on practical advice for businesses - especially those in smaller markets like ours. Expect:
- Real project notes from Twin Ports businesses
- Technical insights that actually matter for local SEO and conversions
- Tools and strategies that help small businesses compete with bigger markets
If you're building something in Duluth, Superior, or anywhere in the region, stick around.
