Eye 04: Pressed Through
The last eye before the hero went back to plain: nothing new is drawn. The logo's own letters lift and catch light, like an eye pushing up through a sheet.
Hover to wake it, click to blink. On a phone: drag or tilt to look, tap or shake to blink.
Inspired by The Frighteners poster: a face pressing through a sheet. The red ASDF glyphs stay exactly as they are. Near the cursor they rise, spread slightly and are lit from the upper left, and that shading alone forms a brow, a socket, a rounded eyeball, an iris disc and a dark pupil.
A blink flattens the lid into a smooth bulge with a seam. When the cursor leaves, the sheet sinks back flat.
Retired: the plain hero won. The idea was right, but the homepage read better without a pair of eyes on it.
